Music from Northern Norway!
Ragnhild Furebotten ( fiddle), Frode Haltli (accordion), and Gjermund Larsen (cello and viola) With the record “Endelig vals” (Finally waltz) Ragnhild Furebotten delivers an exciting debut under her own name! This is contemporary folk music.
The repertoire is picked out from Ragnhild`s “music landscape” and consists of traditional tunes from Northern Norway, her own compositions in addition to tunes from Denmark. The trio has arranged the tunes together, and the music is characterized by an improvising and playful nature. The music of “Ragnhild Furebotten Trio” has musical preferences within contemporary music, Nordic, American and French folk music as well as classical music – reflecting a modern way of thinking and an international expression.
